Introduction: In this project, we explained the physics in mountain biking, specifically the action of jumping. After choosing our subject we completed a series of calculations and recorded clips of Hunter jumping on the mountain bikes. Through editing and piecing together each aspect of biking, we completed the helpful and exciting video.
Creation Record: -We used the first two days to decide on our sport -Next we created a storyboard and began our script -On the next day we completed our storyboard and decided on materials and resources needed -We recorded at the bike park at Stafford Lake that weekend, recording most of the needed clips -The next two days we captured a good portion of the voice overs and talking clips -Eventually we began the editing process -We started off with placing the clips in the order of the video -Next we chose and put in music -In the End, we finalized the video -After being criticized we revised the video Calculations and Concepts: Converted Original Explanation
Reflection: This project was enjoyable yet challenging. It tested my comfort zone and overall improved my understanding and application of physics in the real world. One major self-peak was that I was able to contribute my fair share of the project. Nobody felt as though they were doing all the work. Another peak was that I was able to work productively on the task and my group mates could help me stay on that task. At one point I asked a friend to leave our group and go back to their group so we could work more productively. However, i have a few pits such as my idea contribution to the group. I would not argue or stand for my ideas, making the project a little less enjoyable. Also, I had trouble communicating with my group regarding what needed to be done. I fixed this later in the project by approaching them and asking what we had and needed to do. This project was a success and definitely beneficial to my education on real life application.
