Introduction-
In this project, our task was to re-do a project, and my group chose the physics of sports video. Since it was the last project of the year we wanted to have fun with it and still learn something, so we decided to do the physics behind a modern dance. The whip and the dab was interesting to watch and really fun to make. We had 2 and a half weeks to complete filming, calculations, and editing. We were a bit pressed for time, and encountered issues, but everything worked out in the end.
Editing-
This was by far the most difficult of our project. It was not only the most time consuming piece, but also required the most work. And since we were all working on Brigid's laptop, not everyone could work at once so towards the end one person would be editing, and the other three had nothing to do. Aside from that we had computer issues, crashes, and nearly lost our project the day before our presentation. Using voiceovers, clips, titles, and music we were able to pull together a great video that was funny and had all the physics concepts.
Concepts-
A Dab: A dance in which the dancer simultaneously drops their head and leans into their elbow, while raising their other arm i=at a diagonal in the air
A Whip: A dance in which the dancer raises the knee opposite of the arm that they raise and then simultaneous;y drop the raised leg while stomping, and punching the raised arm out horizontally in front of them.
Mass: the amount of matter in something. Mass is measured in kgs
Velocity: the rate of distance covered in a direction. Velocity=distance/time. Velocity is measured in m/s
Force: a push or a pull. To find Force you use the equation F=ma (Force = Mass x Acceleration) Force is measured in N
Acceleration: rate of change of velocity(speeding up or slowing down) Acceleration is measured in m/s^2.
Gravity: gravity is a force between two objects and it is in proportion to their masses and inverse to the distance between them. Acceleration due to gravity(g or Ag) is 9.8 m/s^2

Our Project-
Reflection-
This project was by far the most fun because my group got very creative and had a great time while still doing something educational. Our group was really good at balancing work and fun. We worked in the solar studio and laughed a lot while still pulling together a good video. Another thing was communication. We have each other's numbers, so we were able to meet outside of school to film, edit, or discuss what needed to be done. However, we also struggled with a few things. We got frustrated at points when one person was working, and since there was only editing left, the others would be hanging out and it made it difficult for the worker to concentrate. Another problem was the technical difficulties that occured. Brigid's computer broke down a day before our presentation. We tried everything and it just would not turn on. Brigid took her computer to the shop that night and we were able to get it working and fortunately our work saved. It also refused to upload to Youtube or let us share the project with any website or person. We had to present just on her MacBook, and were able to upload it after school after the presentation. Although there were many difficulties, it was a very fun project, and a great way to end the year.
